Why doesn't West Africa have more of a tourist Industry?

I spent a couple of weeks in Gambia at one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at anywhere. The service was excellent as was the standard of accomodation. The tourist attractions were a little bit wanting in terms of needing a bit spent on the but the beach and pool were wonderful.

Outsourcing of website work

Hi

I just wanted to take the opportunity to recommend Enfinet as an Indian web design company, if any of you have SME projects to do. My company has been using them for a few months and they are currently redesigning Afrotalk. In fact we liked their work and price so much we have even made an investment in them.

'Carnaval' originated in Italy with the tradition of holding a wild costume festival just before the first day of Lent. The name originated with the custom of giving up meat for Lent - carnevale means "to put away the meat".

What are your favourite travel experience websites?

Personally I consult Virtual Tourist and Tripadvisor before I go anywhere I haven't visited before. The Forums are particularly useful. Are there any other good sites especially related to African travel?

The Business Channel

There are some really interesting programes about business in general and from time to time about business in Africa specifically on The Business Channel. There is a program about microlending coming up on Friday. There is also a series on the Ethiopian Coffee industry. It is on Channel 547 on Sky. Well worth checking out!
